Thirty small skeins of worsted weight acrylic. Acrylic is the practical fibre for anything that will be washed often or used by children: it takes a machine wash, it does not felt, and at this quantity it is the cheapest way to buy a full colour range. Thirty separate colours also mean nothing is wasted on a colour you never use, which is the drawback of buying a few large skeins instead.
